Elena Blasco

When making the catalogue I felt a responsibility to capture the imagination and soul of Blasco’s work. I tried to reflect the playful character in my designs, for example mimicking the yellow painted walls of the exhibition in print form. Elena Blasco wanted to use the catalogue to develop ideas from the exhibition, so I was commissioned to make a mockup of an alternative installation layout. Using a combination of photos of the gallery space and photos from her studio, I created a new, imagined installation that allowed viewers to see the artworks in different combinations and environments (see bottom photos).
